Superb third in the Moto2 World Championship with 4 podiums in 9 races on a beginner KTM, the Portuguese hopeful took part in a test of the RC16 with Pol Espargaro, Bradley Smith and Mika Kallio.

This is a reward and a thank you from the Austrian manufacturer for its exceptional start to the season. But KTM knows how to detect talent where it is and has no intention of letting Oliveira slip to the Japanese or Italians.

Logic would dictate that Miguel would be launched to attack the Moto2 title in 2018. But would bringing him to MotoGP be a bad idea?
