Tetsuta nagashima is not unknown to our readers. Currently Ajo Academy rider in the FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship, he is still competing for second place with Alan Techer with one round remaining.

With the latter and a Steven Odendaal already titled, the three men had participated in the last Grand Prix of Aragon where the Japanese driver finished 23rd.

However, this was not his first Grand Prix appearance since his CV already included participation in Motegi in 2013 (20th) as well as in Austin (20th) and Assen (20th) in 2014.

Tetsuta Nagashima: “I’m really looking forward to this second wild card of the season. It is even more special because it takes place at home, in Japan. We had three intense weeks, with two races: the wild card in Aragon and the FIM CEV race in Jerez where I managed to get on the podium. We arrive here fit and prepared. I've raced at Motegi a few times before, although I don't have any great memories of this track. We hope that this will change this weekend and that I will at least be able to improve my performance at MotorLand Aragon. Getting into the points would be a great reward for the entire team. »

Furthermore, the Japanese driver has just signed with the SAG team for the 2017 season in the world championship.

Tetsuta Nagashima: “I am very happy to be part of the Stop And Go racing team; For me, it's a dream come true because participating in the MotoGP World Championship is the highest level a rider can reach. With the results that the SAG team has achieved in the past, I am sure that I will have everything I need to develop as a driver and achieve good results in this team. Edu Perales has given me his support and trust since the very first moments we met, so I know I will be fully supported in this team. »
