Motegi Moto3 Race: Ono loses his third place!

Japan was delighted to see one of its compatriots climb onto the podium in the smallest Grand Prix category at the end of his national race. A joy that only lasted a few minutes since its hero Ono has just been disqualified.

A heartbreak for the young person Ono who sees himself excluded from the general classification and stripped of his third place in front of his family for a motorcycle with an incorrect weight. The team did not appeal.

An Asia team which stood out for a while in Moto2 when it lost a victory won by a Nakagami which took a long time to recover from this technical error. Let's hope that Ono have stronger morale. But the disappointment must be immense.

We will recall that Ono had achieved the best time during qualifying by setting the new benchmark at Motegi before being forced to serve a penalty of three places following a lap that was too slow during free practice.
