The conditions this morning are excellent, with 20° in the air and 27 on the track.
As we know, Hector Barbera replaces Andrea Iannone et Mike Jones, 22, Australian Superbike champion, takes his place at Avintia.
Quickly, Marc Marquez (big ailerons) leads the operations in 1'46.183, ahead Jorge Lorenzo, Cal Crutchlow, Valentino Rossi and Pol Espargaro.
Just before the end of the first run, Valentino Rossi turns on the red lights and positions himself second, less than 2 tenths behind Marquez.
We then note that at this moment, neither Mike Jones nor Bradley Smith, which run in 1'56, are not in the 107% and, therefore, not yet qualified.
On resumption, Marc Marquez turns on the partials and goes to 1'46.031 while Dani Pedrosa, Maverick Vinales and Andrea Dovizioso improved their times, finishing in 4th, 5th and 7th positions respectively.
In the last run, Andrea Dovizioso brought out the power of his D16 equipped with maximum ailerons, and positioned himself second, less than a tenth behind Marc Marquez, before taking command in 1'45.786 at the last minute.
Cal Crutchlow and Loris Baz conclude the session by falling without gravity at turns #9 and #3 respectively.
Mike Jones is still not qualified.
