It's already 21° in the air and 26 on the track when the MotoGP riders take to the track for this warm-up of the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix.
As a result, we expect higher temperatures than yesterday for the race and the drivers will have to consider another choice than the one they favored in FP4: Soft front and Medium rear.
Michelin announced that 35° would be a limit asphalt temperature to take into account when choosing tires, and we may well reach them... If this is the case, in particular the Hondas could go to Hard rear.

After rolling his two motorcycles Marc Marquez imposes a 1'45.463 with a Medium front, Soft rear combination.
Jorge Lorenzo prefers a soft front but still tries a Medium front and is provisionally positioned 4th while Valentino Rossi, 3rd, stays on the Medium front for the race, just like Cal Crutchlow.
Alex Espargaro seems even more comfortable than his teammate this weekend, and places his Suzuki in provisional second place.
3 minutes from the checkered flag, Andrea Dovizioso imposes his Ducati in second position, one tenth behind Marquez, just before Maverick Vinales finally took 3rd place.
