Things move quickly in the world of Grand Prix. It only takes a few positive results for some and certain defeats for others to shake up what seemed to be certainties. This is currently the case in Moto2. 2017 was KTM's first season in the category. And the Austrians disrupted the established order in three successive events, marked by as many successes and even two doubles. Enough to shake the Kalex religion which had pushed the Suter cult towards the exit. A trend which is confirmed with the ongoing discussions between Marc VDS Racing and the men of Mattighofen.

Like everyone else, he saw the leap forward of a KTM chassis which also evolves within a particularly competent Ajo structure. But the Belgians are no less resourceful and are looking for the best material for their next pair which will be composed ofAlex Marquez and Joan Mir.

Never since the title of Marc Marquez on Suter, Kalex had only suffered three consecutive defeats. To be continued…
