The American Racing Moto2 team took advantage of the Misano Grand Prix to announce the signing of Sean Dylan Kelly next year in the intermediate category of the World Championship.

As a result, the Franco-American team will be 100% made up of American drivers, Cameron Beaubier already part of the furniture.

Sean Dylan Kelly is far from being unknown to the Grand Prix paddock since the American replaced Iker Lecuona during the last rounds at Valencia 2019, when the Spaniard was called up to MotoGP. Furthermore, he has just won the MotoAmerica Supersport, with two races remaining, taking 10 victories in 14 races so far.
“SDK”, who lives in Florida, also knows the circuits in Europe, having spent several seasons there in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, among others.

Eitan Butbul : " I'm very happy to have Sean for the team next season. I have known Sean since his time at the Red Bull Rookies Cup and have worked with him since the beginning of the Academy project. Sean is an incredibly talented driver, a hard worker, a “never give up” and a positive person. After 3 successful seasons in MotoAmerica with the Hammer Suzuki M4 team, Sean will be the first rider from our American Racing Academy program to join the team and achieve our goal of having 2 American riders on the American Racing team. The plan between the Academy and the team is to build a platform and a clear path for talented American riders to give them the opportunity to compete on a global level. For me, having an all-American team is something special and the whole team will do their best to achieve the best results and represent the United States at its best. »

I also believe that he will have a teammate competing for the championship in the person of Cameron Beaubier who will help play a crucial role in accelerating Sean's development throughout his 2st season. Along with this vital piece of the competitive puzzle, the entire team and I are 1% committed. to help Sean successfully transition and give him all the tools he needs to go out and show the world his true talent and potential. »
