Augusto Fernandez was the fastest in the third and final session of the Moto2 category in Assen, scene of the Dutch Grand Prix, 11th stage of the 2022 World Championship, the last before the summer break. The Red Bull Ajo Team driver set the best lap in 1'37.115, a time which allowed him to beat Albert Arenas (Aspar) by only 65 thousandths, who is ahead of Bo Bendsneyder by 46 thousandths.
Ai Ogura (Team Asia) who hunts Celestine Vietti at 8 points in the championship is fourth, ahead Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS), Jake dixon (Aspar), Joe Roberts (Italtrans) and Filip Salac (Gresini). Marcel schrotter (Intact GP) and Alonso Lopez (Speed Up) close the Top Ten.
Celestine Vietti (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Sam Lowes (Marc VDS), Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) and Cameron Beaubier (American Racing) also qualify directly for Q2. They will have to go through Q1, among others: Alessandro Zaccone (Gresini), Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Italtrans), Niccolò Antonelli (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Simone Corsi (MV Agusta Forward).
Aron canet will miss the race, struggling with a constantly bleeding nose that doesn't allow him to breathe. The Team Pons rider should have surgery next week in Barcelona…

NAVARRO signs the reference time in 1.37.670s. He is ahead Ramirez, Dalla Porta and Gonzalez.

Aldeguer pulls away and takes 2nd position but in the process, his time is canceled, he bit into the green part. He achieved it the following lap in 1.37.389s, but he only took 4th position.
The top4 is as follows with 45s to go: Navarro in 1.36.912s, Zaccone, Gonzalez and Dalla Porta: Aldeguer is out of the top4

Lowes takes control in 1.36.767s, the drivers still have 5min30 to catch the British driver.
Top5: Lowes, Navarro, Roberts, Bendsneyder and Ogura.
Arenas takes the lead in 1.36.747s. This would be the first pole for the GASGAS rider in Moto2: Lowes, Ogura, Navarro, Roberts, Bendsneyder, Fernandez, Lopez, Schrotter and Dixon bring up the rear of this top10 with 15 seconds to go.
It is finally Dixon who took pole position, in 1.36.736s. His teammate, Arenas is 2nd, Lowes finished 3th. Ogura and Lopez complete this top5
