Jake Dixon qualified on pole position for the second time in Moto2 with Indonesia earlier this season. He will aim for victory for the first time in this category. His GASGAS teammate Albert Arenas qualified in second position, equaling his best Moto2 result from last time in Germany, which is also his only other front row in the category. He will aim for his first podium in Moto2.
Sam Lowes qualified in third position for his sixth front row since the start of the season, and will be aiming for victory for the first time since Emilia-Romagna last year. Second in the championship, Ai Ogura qualified in fourth position, his second best result of the season after Spain, where he took his first pole position and his first Moto2 victory. He will aim to get on the podium for the first time since Italy this year where he was P3.
Alonso lopez qualified fifth as the best non-Kalex driver, riding a Boscuscuro. It was his best qualifying result in Moto2, although he started from fifth place in his first Moto2 appearance of the year after qualifying sixth. He will attempt to get on his first Moto2 podium and give Boscoscuro his first podium since Aron Canet in P3 in Emilia-Romagna last year.
After going through Q1, Jorge Navarro qualified in sixth position for his best result since second in Emilia-Romagna last year. The championship leader Celestine Vietti, who crashed in Q2, qualified in 11th position, his third worst qualifying result since the start of the year, after France where he qualified in 19th position and finished P8 and Portugal where he qualified in 13th position and finished the race in P2.
