After an Indonesian Grand Prix where, ultimately, the leaders of each category all increased their lead in the general classification, the 16th of the 20 stages of the world championship Moto2 is going to take place this weekend on Phillip Island, Australia, and it continues with P2. The island character of the place is the only point in common with the previous round, since generally the cold, showers and wind are the norm in the southern land, far from the heavenly conditions enjoyed on the island of Lombok last weekend...

An Indonesian island which also had the particularity of allowing the leaders of the three categories to increase their lead in the general classification, Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) increasing its gap from 50 to 65 points on a Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) less brilliant than at the start of the season, and 40 units more on Jake dixon (India GASGAS Aspar Team).

With 125 points to be distributed between now and the end of the season, the matter seems to be a done deal for the future MotoGP rider, especially since the Colombian rookie David Alonso (Gaviota GasGas Aspar Team), the now seasoned  Deniz Oncu (Red Bull KTM Ajo), the Spaniard Ivan Ortolá (KTM Angeluss MTA Team), the valiant Brazilian Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI) have now joined the club of mathematically non-titratable pilots. A1'32no change is to be noted in the list of participants, and no wildcard either. Last year, Alonso lopez had managed to contain Peter Acosta, in the only race of the weekend which did not end by hundredths of a second, despite the curving track of Phillip Island. We will therefore venture into the prognosis of a reverse revenge…

Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the facts known so far:

The weather is still good on the magnificent Phillip Island circuit, and that's a good thing. Who will be in the best conditions before qualifying? Reply in a few minutes.

Like this morning, the Speed Up driver Fermin Aldeguer is faster than his little comrades. The Silverstone winner is definitely in good shape in Australia. Somkiat Chantra (Honda Team Asia) is not that far away. The session is very calm, no one seems able to go find Aldeguer. Small fall to note for the ex-MotoGP rider Darryn binder, who is struggling enormously this season. *

Watch out for red flags! An invasion of strange birds on the track causes the session to be interrupted 25 minutes from the end, a fairly common scene in these latitudes. It remains to determine the nature of these volatiles.

Here we go again, even if we do not have the information concerning the animals, unfamiliar with Australian fauna. You know, if it doesn't have an engine, then we are immediately less cultured! Fermin Aldeguer is on fire, as he continues to improve the benchmark time. He's on another planet, six tenths ahead Somkiat Chantra. The inevitable Peter Acosta gets a little closer, but not so close as to worry him.

Et Aldeguer improves again, not far from his own track record set last year! And a little fall for Peter Acosta, in a very calm session. In the last moments, Aron canet suffers a fall in turn.

Fermin Aldeguer therefore concludes this P2 Moto2 in the lead, comfortably in front Aron canet et Jake dixon.
