Still plagued by a mysterious illness (see here), Jesko Raffin is not yet sufficiently recovered to participate in the two consecutive races at the Red Bull Ring.
Consequently, Dominique Aegerter will replace him during these two events in Austria within the NTS RW Racing GP team.
“We don’t yet know exactly what’s wrong with Jesko”, declares Jarno Janssen, director of the NTS RW Racing GP team. “ Things are improving, but he is still very tired after exercise. No one will benefit if they drive in these conditions. Not us, and certainly not him. Of course, this is very annoying, especially for Jesko himself. He really wants to race, but he also realizes that it's not wise right now and that he should now take time to recover. »
Raffin is expected to return to Misano. Until then, so at least the two races in Austria, this weekend and the next, Dominique Aegerter will continue to replace his compatriot.
“We are happy with the experience that Domi brings us,” says Janssen. “ He can give us a lot of things, from which Bo Bendsneyder can also benefit. »
Dominique Aegerter finished the Czech Republic Grand Prix 21st at 27 seconds, after qualifying 23rd.
