It was the rookie Ai Ogura (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia), who took an honorable fifth place last weekend, who made a perfect start this Friday. The Japanese saw himself propelled into the lead with his lap of 1'28.887 in FP1. But everything was decided by seven thousandths against Augusto Fernández (ELF Marc VDS Racing)!
Nice performance from Marcel Schrötter (Liqui Moly Intact GP) who moved up to third place, just ahead of the latest winner Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46) and an astonishing Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Italtrans Racing Team).
Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing), in more difficulty on this track, inherited sixth place, whileAron Canet (Aspar Team Moto2) ranked seventh. Which will have come very close to a collision with Cameron Beaubier (American Racing). Fortunately, the Valencian managed to avoid the Kalex of the No. 6, which had fallen a few moments earlier at the exit of turn 1.
Raul Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) and Albert Arenas (Aspar Team Moto2) completed the Top 10. Remy Gardner (Red Bull KTM Ajo), current leader in the World Championship, had to be content with an 11th position.
