Having barely got off their machines at the end of the Austrian Grand Prix, the three drivers on the podium delivered their first impressions to the microphone of the MotoGP official website.

Raúl Fernández (Red Bull KTM Ajo/winner)

" I First of all, I would like to thank my team because they provided me with the best bike for today, because it was perfectly suited to these very hot conditions, and I was able to fight against Ogura in a good way. I would like to thank all the “haters” who on the internet declared last week that I would never be on the podium again. I therefore want to dedicate this podium and this victory to them. »

Ai Ogura (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia/second)

"This was a very difficult race. I attacked from the start when I was really at the limit. During the race I had a few opportunities, but in the last five laps Raúl Fernández had something extra and I couldn't do anything. I'm happy with this first podium in the category, and we found new things this weekend that we will be able to apply in the future. I am very happy with this weekend. »

Augusto Fernández (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/third)

" I I'm very happy, even if it was very difficult to make up for lost ground. Since last week we know that it's difficult to come back, if you lose even a second it's very difficult to regain it. Here I did my best, and I tried to stay focused because on the last lap I had quite a few problems with the front tire, and we will have to analyze that. But regardless, it's another podium, and I'm happy to take points again, and it's good to have managed to come back from this distant position on the grid. »
