The Japanese Ai Ogura regained pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix in the Moto2 class, scheduled for Sunday on the Red Bull Ring track. This is the second pole in Moto2 for the Team Asia rider after the one obtained in Jerez at the start of the season. His best lap with a time of 1'33.933 allowed him to beat Alonso Lopez (Speed Up) by only 48 thousandths. Also in first place is world ranking leader Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull Ajo).

Jake dixon (Team Aspar) will open the second line where we also find Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) and the ghost Peter Acosta (Rookie KTM Red Bull Ajo). He is ahead Celestine Vietti, who until a few minutes before the end of the session was at the back of the peloton and who finished seventh. The Mooney VR46 Racing Team driver places himself behind the German Marcel schrotter (Intact GP) and Albert Arenas (Team Aspar).
