The Moto2 riders made their debut on the Montmeló track this Friday morning during FP1 and Augusto Fernández (ELF Marc VDS Racing) showed himself to his advantage. The Spaniard led the proceedings, with a lap of 1'43.703 which put him ahead of his Marc VDS Racing teammate, Sam Lowes.
Remy gardner (Red Bull KTM Ajo), current leader in the Championship and recently made official for next season in MotoGP inherited the third fastest time. To tell the truth, we were witnessing a group shot from the Red Bull KTM Ajo, since Raul Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo) finished in his wake.
Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46) and Hector Garzo (Flexbox HP40) set the fifth and sixth fastest times. Will Bendsneyder (Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team) left with the seventh fastest time. Xavi Verge (Petronas Sprinta Racing), Jake dixon (Petronas Sprinta Racing) and Jorge Navarro (MB Conveyors Speed Up) completed the Top 10.

In front of his supporters, Augusto Fernandez confirms its good form in the morning by taking the first reference in 1'44.100. Virgin, Lowes, Raul Fernandez et By Giannantonio follow. Then Remy Gardner clocked a 1'44.038 which put him in control at the end of the first quarter of an hour.

Augusto Fernandez fall at turn 12 with 24 minutes to go. In the process, Joe Roberts falls at turn 2. Sam Lowes takes the lead in 1'44.013. Chantra fall at turn 7.

Augusto Fernandez got back on the trail. He will be there for the last quarter of an hour. Raul Fernandez goes second, eight thousandths behind his teammate, still leader.
Approaching the last five minutes, Raul Fernandez signs a good 1'43.687, which positions him alone in the new frontier of 1'43. He is ahead of his teammate as Lowes who follows is ahead of his stablemate. A duel between the Ajo and Marc VDS teams is underway. Jorge Navarro fall at turn 7.

Virgin closes the top 5 at Bezzecchi. We are entering the last minute. Under the checkered flag, we leave it there. Dallas Port enters the top 14 synonymous with provisional qualification in Q2. Alonso lopez ends his performance with a fall.
