The Aragon Grand Prix offered an unforgettable finale in Moto2, at the end of which it was necessary to determine a winner, Deniz Öncü, and a loser, Diogo Moreira. The two riders were separated by just 3 thousandths of a second at the finish line. While the Brazilian contributed to writing an anthology page this weekend, he didn't have the best part in the story, but holds his head high after a second consecutive podium finish.

Starting from pole position, Diogo Moreira delivered a perfect race, maintaining an intense pace. Constantly remaining in the leading group to compete with Sunday's best drivers, the Brazilian even started the final lap in the lead, thanks to his excellent tire management, which allowed him to close in on Deniz Öncü.

In a breathtaking finale, he then crossed the finish line in second place, just three thousandths of a second behind winner Deniz Öncü. Together, they created the smallest gap in the history of the category in a photo finish.

A detail that prevents the Brazilian from having a perfect weekend. The day before, he became the first representative of his country to secure a pole position in Moto2. This result, however, allows him to climb to third place in the overall championship standings, confirming a rich season and the rise in power he has been making since the beginning of this championship. The disappointment of having missed out on victory by a whisker was therefore quickly overcome.
