Injured in his pelvis since the end of April, Dominique Aegerter missed the Grands Prix of Jerez and Le Mans, where he was replaced by the young Lukas Tulovic, German rider in CEV Moto2. After eight weeks away from the Grands Prix, the Swiss will try to make his comeback during the Mugello Grand Prix.

Driver in the Kiefer Racing team in Moto2, Dominique Aegerter made a bad fall during Enduro training at the end of April and fractured a pelvic bone. The team then called on Lukas Tulovic to replace him at Jerez, and everyone hoped to see him again at Le Mans. Unfortunately, too few weeks had passed, and his injury required more time to heal.

Just two months after his accident, Aegerter wants to return next weekend to Mugello. However, he will have to wait for the green light from the doctors. As team boss Jochen Kiefer explained to speedweek, the verdict should come on Monday.

It remains to be seen whether he will then be able to last for the duration of the tests and then the race, his injury being significant.

If he was unable to return to the Italian Grand Prix, Lukas Tulovic would return to replace him. The team is indeed very satisfied with its work and its performance, as Jochen Kiefer explained: “I am convinced that he has what it takes to become the next important German Moto2 rider. »
