The weekend in France at Le Mans began in Moto2 with Somkiat Chantra setting the best performance in 1'36.108. With this new lap record, he precedes Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull Ajo + 0.155s) and the returning Stefano Manzi (+ 0.500s), the latter replacing the injured Keminth Kubo on the handlebars of the Kalex of the Master Camp VR46.
The fourth is Sam Lowes, the Briton from Team Marc VDS being followed by Marcel schrotter (Intact GP) who fell without consequence at the end of the session and the leader of the World Championship Celestine Vietti (Mooney VR46 Racing Team). The latter was himself the protagonist at the end of the exercise of an accident with Aron canet, victim of the Italian and who expressed his dissatisfaction to him.
The seventh beat is for Albert Arenas. The Team Aspar driver is ahead of his teammate Jake Dixon who fell but is unhurt, the 3 Moto2021 champion Peter Acosta (Red Bull Ajo) and Alonso Lopez, riding the ex machine of fenati at Speed Up.

The sky is still as mild and the temperatures almost summer when the protagonists of the Moto2 take possession of the Le Mans track to complete their 40 minutes of exercise. We learn that regarding the collision at the end of FP1 between Drive et Canet, officials found nothing to complain about.

The first reference is signed by Sam Lowes in 1'36.880. His teammate Arbolino succeeds him at the top of the timesheet, revealing a 1'36.811. Acosta, Chantra et Courses follow the two Marc VDS pilots whose Lowes improves the mark to 1'36.551 after ten minutes.
The first quarter of an hour passes with Lowes in 1'36.403, ahead Chantra, Arbolino, Acosta et Canet which closes the top 5 at Ogura. Lowes nevertheless falls at turn 13. Arenas then falls at turn 7.

As the last five minutes approach, Pedro Acosta caused a sensation by taking the lead with a time of 1'36/166.

More Augusto Fernandez did better with the new track record in 1'36.030. Canet fall at turn 5. Gonzalez also falls. Two distinct falls are also listed: first Stefano Manzithen Marcel Schrötter. gabriel rodrigo gets going too, at turn 6.

Under the checkered flag, Augusto Fernandez keeps his property and his record before his turn is canceled to the greatest happiness of Pedro Acosta. Chantra, Lowes et Arbolino close the top 5. Ogura is eighth and Drive only 24th. Antonelli ends his session in France on the ground.
