Moto2 Le Mans

Who can stop Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo)? Apparently, Sam Lowes (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team), winner in Jerez, but it will be difficult for the Briton to repeat his feat. Indeed, the veteran made a real demonstration by winning largely against a grid that was tougher than ever. Despite everything, the prodigy Acosta remains solid leader of the championship with two victories in Portugal and the United States. Behind him, the young wolves are hungry. Tony Arbolino (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team), Arón Canet (Pons WeGow Los40) and Alonso López (Boscoscuro Speed Up Racing) are all very promising and incidentally, very fast.

The surprise could well come from Jake dixon (GasGas Aspar Team), strong in rainy conditions and at Le Mans, where he almost scored a good result in the wet before crashing.

Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.

The weather is still good in Le Mans, although as usual, the conditions are still cool. It is not Pedro Acosta who will say the opposite.

From the start, Barry Baltus (Fieten Olie Racing GP) gets trapped. Fortunately, the Belgian has nothing. Manuel González (Correos Prepago Yamaha VR46 Master Camp) is the first to register a significant time. Tony Arbolino responds without delay. Filip Salač (QJMotor Gresini Moto2), in sight since the start of the season, is also in the game. Peter Acosta was quick to join the group of favorites with a 1'38.006 which propelled him to the top of the timesheet. Sam Lowes, of course, is the first to go under 1'38. The grid is homogeneous and promises a beautiful show.

At the same time, we note the fall of Rory Skinner (American racing) at the Dunlop Chicane. Just after his nice turn, Lowes falls to S-Blues. He's fine, but isn't happy about his mistake.

Later it is Sean Dylan Kelly (American racing) experiences a mishap in the same place as his teammate a few minutes earlier. Acosta drives the point home with fast sectors but is unable to open up a significant gap with the second place finisher. Alonso López (Boscoscuro Speed Up Racing), very fast since last year, takes the lead.

The P2 Moto2 is relatively calm at Le Mans, the young guns of Moto2 seem to have calmed down. Definitely a bad start to the day for Sean Dylan Kelly which falls again. same for me Rory Skinner ! The American Racing mechanics were not spared with four falls. Peter Acosta takes back his property less than five minutes from time. Sam Lowes is on the ground again! Two errors also for him.

In the last moments, Filip Salač (QJMotor Gresini Moto2) improves and maintains the head. The times are very tight, and no less than 16 drivers are within just a second. Note the good return of Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing) in the last moments.
