In pole position, Peter Acosta (Kalex, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37), 2nd in the championship and at the center of the news,  “El Tiburón de Mazarrón” having expressed his desire to show his wing in MotoGP, a category in which KTM no longer has a place to offer. But we are thinking to find a solution…

At his side, the championship leader by 20 points, Tony Arbolino (Kalex, ELF Marc VDS Racing Team, #14), also eyeing the big brothers, as well as Jake dixon (Kalex, India GASGAS Aspar Team, #96), 6th in the championship.

The second line includes Aron Canet (Kalex, Pons Wegow Los40, #40), 5th in the championship drafted in Q1, Alonso lopez (Boscoscuro, CAG SpeedUp, #21), 3rd in the championship, and Sam Lowes (Kalex, ELF Marc VDS Racing Team, #22), 8th in the general classification.

In third place are Somkiat Chantra (Kalex, Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, #35), 7th in the championship picked up at the last minute in Q1, Fermín Aldeguer (Boscoscuro, CAG SpeedUp, #54) and Albert Arenas (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #75), respectively 12th and 13th in the general classification.

Sergio Garcia (Kalex, Pons Wegow Los40, #11), Celestine Vietti (Kalex, Fantic Racing, #13) and Manuel González (Kalex, Correos Prepago Yamaha VR46, #18) make up the fourth row while Filip Salač (Kalex, QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2, #12), 4th in the championship, only owes his 13th place on the grid to a crash in qualifying. It nevertheless precedes Barry Baltus (Kalex, Fieten Olie Racing GP, #7), fastest in Q1.

It's 26° in the air, 42° on the ground under a beautiful blue sky.

When the red lights go out... Tony Arbolino takes advantage of Peter Acosta.

Darryn binder et Bo Bendsneyder (Kalex, Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team, #64) fell in turn #1 under the pressure of Jeremy Alcoba.

Peter Acosta regains command at turn #12 of the first lap then Alonso lopez grabs third position on the second lap.

Peter Acosta immediately pushed hard and broke the record for the fastest lap in the race. He takes in his wheel Tony Arbolino and the two men begin to break away from the peloton now led by Arón Canet.

Tony Arbolino seems to have a little difficulty following and concedes half a second, then quickly a second, to the Spanish shark.

In the sixth round, Aron Canet makes a mistake alone in turn #13, effectively entrusting the command of the peloton to Jake dixon before Somkiat Chantra.

After 10 rounds, the game seems set for victory since Peter Acosta is 2,3 seconds ahead of Tony Arbolino, itself having a margin of 1,2 seconds on a Jake dixon who does everything to reduce it.

The second in the championship does not give up and increases his lead to more than three seconds over Tony Arbolino who sees Jake dixon come back to 6/10 behind him 7 laps from the checkered flag.

Three laps before the flag drops, the Briton only concedes 3/10 to the Italian…

The junction is made at the start of the penultimate lap but the championship leader retains his second place to the great dismay of the Aspar driver who will have to be content with a ninth 3rd place on the podium.

4th victory of the season for Peter Acosta, in 7 Moto2 races!

In the Moto2 championship, Tony Arbolino remains 15 points ahead of Peter Acosta while both men are already considering the rest of their careers in MotoGP.
