The fall of Álex Márquez on British soil has given his main opponents a boost for the championship. The slingshot is thus launched again…

Coming out of the British Grand Prix where he ended up on the mat while leading the race, Alex Marquez now only has a 35-point lead (181) over its three direct opponents, Augusto Fernández, Jorge Navarro et Thomas Lüthi, all three tied on points (146). Of course, it is still a very comfortable cushion considering his four victories already acquired. But there are still 12 races to cover and with them, its corollary of falls, technical problems, Alex Marquez now has no room for error if he wants to win the holy grail at the end of this season, because behind him, his rivals have gone up like cuckoos like Jorge Navarro who also no longer has the right to make the slightest mistake if he wants the world crown.

“The points are certainly very important for the championship but in the end it is the very good feeling I had this weekend that counts. We have worked very well and we are on the right track. It's on myself that I have to work for I am my own adversary. If I succeed, then yes, I will be able to achieve it and I will therefore have every chance” confides the Vallbona pilot.

For its part, Augusto Fernandez stays the course and above all wants to keep a cool head. Its main objective collect the most points« and “continue the momentum” to fight for the title. “Of course I'm thinking about the championship because nothing is decided yet, everything is possible, especially since the last two races were complicated but you have to continue to stay focused. This is how I will keep all my chances for the championship” explains the 21-year-old Spaniard.
