Moto2 Indonesia Racing

Rarely have we seen such a tight grid in the history of Moto2, and yet Indonesia only had one crown to award for the winner of the intermediate category. After 40 minutes of racing in intense heat, Pedro Acosta reaps the laurels. It was almost impossible to spot a favorite before lights out. Yes, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) already reigned supreme in the championship. Yes, Arón Canet (Pons WeGow Los40) had achieved pole position but behind, four other drivers were in the same hundredth! Implausible. We had to be wary of Jake Dixon (Gaviota GasGas Aspar Team), Filip Salač (QJMotor Gresini Racing), but also the troublemaker Manuel González (Correos Prepago Yamaha VR46 Master Camp), very visible since the start of the weekend.

Do you already know the result of this race? It doesn't matter! Come relive it with us! But before we begin, here is a table that summarizes the known facts:

The weather is extremely hot in these latitudes. These are the most difficult conditions encountered so far this season, but yet the Moto2 heroes have no choice but to take it upon themselves. The warm-up round has just ended. The lights go out, and off we go!

Peter Acosta achieves the holeshot, but he is quickly caught by Aron canet. Behind, Alonso lopez (Speed Up Racing), already in great difficulty, fell at the first turn, caught in a pileup apparently caused by Jeremy Alcove (QJMotor Gresini Racing). Tony Arbolino (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team), who has been struggling considerably for some time, is doing well in the top 5.

Aron canet et Peter Acosta exchange first position, with Manuel Gonzalez as a referee. The three stand out somewhat. Filip Salač is on the ground, and it's a shame, he had something to play.

The trend is clearly towards Pedro Acosta, his lead increases visibly. Is this already the end of hopes for Aron canet ? Will he have to settle for another second place? Tony Arbolino has recovered well, here he is in third position but not for long: the winner of Silverstone Fermin Aldeguer (Speed Up Racing) is also in leg.

Is the race already over? Peter Acosta dominates the debates head and shoulders. He has more than a second in advance with 14 laps to go before the checkered flag. Fortunately Manuel Gonzalez, Tony Arbolino et Jake dixon do some action. A few falls were noted at the back of the peloton.

The rhythm of Peter Acosta is quite impressive. He does not play in the same category as the other drivers in this race. A beautiful battle between Tony Arbolino à Jake dixon, until the latter makes a mistake which sees him go offshore.

Peter Acosta scares himself a little, proof of his maximum attack. Fermin Aldeguer is getting closer to Aron Canet, and has his second place in his sights. However, it would take a miracle for him to completely catch up. Tony Arbolino almost falling at the worst moment! He remains on his wheels but loses his fifth place to the benefit of Jake dixon.

Ultimately, Peter Acosta won a thunderous victory with more than three seconds in advance, whileAron canet is still second in a Grand Prix. Fermin Aldeguer finished third in this relatively calm race.
