The Ioda Racing team having recently announced its departure in Superbike with Alex de Angelis to race the ex-factory Aprilias, the Italian structure of Giampiero Sacchi also abandons the Moto2 category, thus leaving behind Efren Vazquez who was to move up to the intermediate category , reached by the age limit in Moto3.
The future is therefore getting significantly darker for the Basque rider even if all hope is not yet completely lost since the members of the Moto2 team still have a Suter and, with the consent of Dorna, are currently looking for a 'a team that could shelter them logistically.
The task nevertheless promises to be very difficult because adding a motorcycle to an existing team poses many problems, starting with getting the motorcycle and its parts into a truck that is generally already full. What's more, no one will be riding a Suter this year and it's hard to imagine a box where motorcycles from different brands rub shoulders...
The situation therefore seems very complicated today for the former Leopard Racing driver, and we wish him to find a solution.
