Manuel Gonzalez dominated the Italian Grand Prix from start to finish to secure his third victory of the season. Leading after the first braking zone, the Spaniard built a considerable gap over the rest of the field and was never challenged in his quest for victory. The Intact GP rider crossed the finish line with an impressive gap of more than six seconds over his closest rival, Celestino Vietti.

Behind them, the battle was fierce right up to the final meters of the race. Daniel Holgado led into the last lap before being overtaken by the Italian, then by Senna Agius. He nevertheless snatched the podium from the Australian at the finish line, crossing it 17 thousandths of a second earlier than his rival.

Starting 19th, Barry Baltus gradually climbed back up the rankings to secure 8th place in the final.
