Mattia Pasini

It will be a small event which should please the transalpines who the organizers of the Italian Grand Prix hope to bring in large numbers despite the absence of Valentino Rossi on the starting grid. The latter will nevertheless be behind the scenes to mark the ceremony which will remove the 46 from all competition, but it will not be the same... It remains that for this event, Doctor nee will not be interviewed by the commentator for Sky Sports that Mattia has become Pasini. And for good reason…

Mattia Pasini will indeed be on the track at Mugello, eighth stage of the 2022 World Championship, riding a Kalex from Team Aspar. The Italian pilot, now a commentator for Sky Sports, will return as a wild card and join the team's drivers Albert Arenas et Jake dixon. Pasini has previously raced with the team Jorge Martinez. In 2006, on an Aprilia, he won two victories (Italy and Germany), a second place in China, three third places (Spain, Great Britain and Australia) and two pole positions (Spain and France) and, in 2019, he replaced Jake dixon then under the Petronas colors. In 2006 he won the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.

Mattia Pasini remains ambitious: “ Mugello is a good place to do well«

« I am very happy to race again in a Moto2 race, to do it with India GASGAS Aspar, Jorge Martínez "Aspar" and with Gino Borsoi, who I have known for a long time » says Pasini which ends: “ and in addition to doing it at home, because Mugello is a good place to do well ».
