Aron Canet won the pole of the Italian Grand Prix in the Moto2 category at Mugello, eighth stage of the 2022 World Championship. The Pons Team rider set the best lap in 1'51.121, conquering the third leading position in his career in the intermediate category. Behind Canet we find the rookie and 2021 champion of the Moto3 category Pedro Acosta (Red Bull Ajo) and Sam Lowes (Marc VDS).

Celestine Vietti (Mooney VR46) opens the second row, ahead of an incredible Mattia Pasini, wild card for the Aspar team. Ai Ogura (Team Asia) will start from sixth box in front Joe Roberts (ItalTrans) and Tony Arbolino (Marc Vds). Jake dixon (Aspar) and Barry Baltus (RW) complete the top ten.
