Last weekend's Spanish Grand Prix was won by Luca Marini for the Sky VR46 team. This morning, for an Andalusian Grand Prix which takes place on the same Jerez track, it was his teammate Marco Bezzecchi who took the lead in the first hierarchy. We therefore appreciate the site among the protégés of Valentino Rossi. However, the competition is fierce, starting with that of the Ajo team which houses the leader of the Nagashima championship and the one who is always said to be promised to Ducati Paramac in MotoGP, in this case Jorge Martin...

33° in the air and 53° on the track are the conditions offered to pilots for 40 minutes of exercise. At the outset, Bezzecchi confirms its morning form with a reference 1'42.073. Marini his teammate follows, including on the track. Nagashima, Lüthi et NAVARRO constitute the first top 5. The Swiss spare no effort…

After the first quarter of an hour, Marini takes the lead with a 1'41.992. He beat his best time from FP2 a week ago on the same track. The two VR46 teammates have been riding together since the start of the session… Sam Lowes goes fourth, enters Nagashima et Lüthi.

The mid-session came under the control of the patrol Marini Bezzecchi, always inseparable. The racing simulation goes like a dream.

In view of the times lined up, the top 10 qualifying entry for Q2 is provisionally established. Joe Roberts holds this border for 12 thousandths against the fifteenth Dixon. Bastianini, Gardner, Di Giannantonio, Virgin et Fernandez are the disappointments of this first salvo.

Everything was going well for Bezzecchi until eight minutes from the goal where, at the exit of turn 1, he suffered a fall. His injured Kalex even started to burst into flames, a disaster quickly brought under control by the commissioners...

In the last minutes, NAVARRO climbs third to the detriment of Nagashima who sees his teammate Martin join him in the top 5. We will leave it there with Marini and Bezzecchi in tight formation…
