Jake dixon had a good one during a practice session for the Grand Prix of the Americas. To the point that he was then unable to continue his meeting on the Austin track. A sufficiently worrying situation which now prevents Sama Qatar team driver Ángel Nieto from considering participation in the next Spanish Grand Prix which will take place in a week in Jerez.

The driver of the Sama Qatar team Ángel Nieto, Jake Dixon, will miss next weekend's Spanish Grand Prix as he continues his recovery following a crash during free practice for the Grand Prix of the Americas. Dixon underwent medical tests in Austin and, although the results were positive, additional checks on his UK grounds led the British driver, along with his team and doctors, to decide that the best course of his recovery would be to give up on the next meeting of the season in Spain.

Sama Qatar Team Ángel Nieto will make an announcement next week regarding the replacement of Dixon for the fourth round of the season, which will take place at the Jerez – Ángel Nieto circuit.

Jake dixon comments: " I'm sad I won't be racing in Jerez with my team because of the hard work they're doing. As difficult as it is, I will have to let this pass, I know it is the right option for my long-term safety. I went to see specialists here in the UK and did relevant observations and tests. At the last visit, I concluded that I was still unfit to fly. I'm a driver, I want to race, but for now I'm resting and doing the exercises I'm told to do so I can come back strong. I will miss my team Sama Qatar Ángel Nieto ».
