The Spanish rider will be there during the virtual Moto2 Spanish Grand Prix which will be held this Sunday, and intends to do everything to win.

This Sunday, Moto2 and Moto3 riders will be able to participate for the first time in a virtual race, already organized twice for MotoGP riders. Each category will have its own race, and in the two smallest 10 drivers will compete in each of them.

Jorge Martín will be there in Moto2, and is looking forward to returning to competition, although it will only be virtual. While we still do not know the exact date for the resumption of the championships, which will probably be in the summer, Red Bull KTM team rider Ajo finds that this event is a great way to wait.

“The fact that the virtual races are happening is fantastic, both for us and for the fans”, did he declare. “Ultimately, it’s a great way to entertain them during this difficult time and bring some entertainment to their Sunday, which will be more enjoyable.” And then for us it's good to have a little competitiveness to stay motivated. »

At the start of this eight-lap race, Martín will have every chance, he who is used to the game: “I often play the MotoGP game because it allows me to get an idea of the turns, the distances between changes of direction, etc. It helps me arrive on the circuits with good references. »

However, there is no question of not taking the Grand Prix seriously. Once on his land, in Jerez, the Spaniard intends to do everything to win: “This Sunday it will be different because we will not be there to play or train. It’s time to go into “race” mode. I hope to do good things and fight for victory. »
