Replacing Joe Roberts in the American Racing team in Moto2, when the latter was injured at the end of the season, it can be said that Jorge Navarro made his mark. Author of three memorable weekends of competition, the Spaniard knew how to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase his skills. A performance that seems to have seduced one team in particular, since Navarro will be back in the intermediate class in 2025, with a starting rider cap.

The Klint Forward Factory team has just announced the signing of Jorge Navarro. The Spaniard will complete the Moto2 line-up of the team, alongside Alex Escrig. An important signing for the future history of the team, which specifies that it is an important multi-year contract.

Three years after his last season as a regular driver in the world championship, the Iberian will be back in the intermediate class. If the Grands Prix he took part in at the start of the season impressed the paddock, it must be said that the three stints he did to replace Joe Roberts at the end of the season were a great motivation for this candidacy.

In Thailand, the #9 started smoothly, with a top-15 finish. However, it was in Malaysia that he impressed the most. On Saturday, Jorge Navarro took pole position for the Grand Prix, five years after his last in the championship. The next day, he did everything he could to defend it, but ultimately finished the race in second place, behind Celestino Vietti.

After this feat, there is no doubt that some teams have started to take an interest in him. After two seasons in the Supersport World Championship, he will therefore resume his role as a regular rider in Moto2.

“We are delighted to welcome Jorge as a full-time driver into our family after his participation in some races last season, confide the sports director of the structure, Simone Corsi and the CEO of the Klint Forward Factory team, Martina Cuzari. His experience and speed will be important for the development of our project. We are convinced that together we can grow and achieve important goals."

This challenge fully motivates the main interested party, who now sets himself more ambitious goals in Moto2.

“I am very happy with this opportunity: I accepted the challenge because I believe in this project and I am convinced that with my experience and speed we will put our bikes in the positions that matter. I am looking forward to starting the work and the season. I want to thank Forward and our title sponsor KLINT for the trust they have placed in me. I will do my best.”
