It's on the official website MotoGP.com that we have the first photos of the KTM and Kalex prototypes with Triumph 765cc 3-cylinder engines on the Aragon track which they will be able to take advantage of for 3 days to work out the first settings.

We do not currently have much information on these tests, except that the Japanese manufacturer NTS is also involved.

Jesko Raffin, Kalex Moto2 test rider, has still published this little video which will delight the ears of fans.

We were nevertheless able to observe for the first time the KTM Triumph, driven by Ricard Cardus et Julian Simon...

Still in the chapter of Moto2 test riders, note the return ofAlex De Angelis who will work for NTS: " Well yes! I'm about to start a new adventure! This time in the form that seems even more mine or that of the pilot, but in this specific case, that of the test pilot! Perhaps thanks to the passion, dedication and professionalism that I put into it every time, and in everything I do, the people and companies who know me often and willingly give me their trust and the opportunity to help them in new and ambitious projects like this! DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW MOTO2 NTS TRIUMPH! I am happy and incredibly excited despite my many years of experience and will do my best to bring this project to the top! “

However, we do not expect to obtain any significant time, this 3-day session being above all what is commonly called a run-in intended to validate the overall geometries of the different motorcycles.

A priori, according to the information provided by Danny Aldridge, the manufacturers have an improved engine for these tests thanks to a conversion kit which makes it compliant with the specifications of the official 2019 engine (around 14 rpm instead of 000 rpm), as well as a new, more sophisticated ECU supplied by Magneti Marelli.

The official 2 Moto2019 engines will be available to all teams from November 21, 22 and 23 in Jerez.
