After the Misano GP, the Red Bull KTM Ajo team went straight to Spain. In Valencia, Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder completed a two-day test session.

The new Moto2 WP-KTM is performing particularly well in its first season, with Miguel Oliveira currently fourth in the provisional World Championship standings, 14 points behind Alex Marquez, and 17 ahead of Francesco Bagnaia. His best results were two second places, in Argentina and Germany. The Portuguese also finished third in Jerez, Barcelona and Brno. Although injured and new to the category, Brad Binder has just placed fifth in Misano, his best result.

During the two days of testing in Valencia, before the Aragon GP, Oliveira completed more than 150 laps (the GP has 27, or 108,1 km). The team tried new suspension parts, including a WP fork and shocks. The fairly strong wind did not make the pilots' work easier.

According to Miguel Oliveira, “ These two days in Valencia were useful. It was very warm and we were able to do many laps. This test allowed us to confirm the good feeling for certain parts that we tested previously on other tracks.

“It’s always good to be able to make comparisons on circuits with a different character. I was fast on the track, the end result was positive. Now I'm focusing on Aragon. »

For Brad Binder, “ These two days in Valencia were really good. I was able to test new parts and work a lot on my driving style. This way I learned a lot and I am very happy about it.

“We used a new fork, which gave me a very good feeling. I rode over a hundred laps on Wednesday, but a harmless crash prevented me from fully enjoying the second day. I'm really looking forward to returning with my KTM to Aragón. »
