A dozen falls, some of which were quite violent, and a Malaysian in the lead in the person of Kasma Daniel were the major events of the FP1 that Moto2 experienced at Le Mans this Friday morning. Here we are in the middle of the afternoon with less hostile conditions that the championship leader Luca Marini undoubtedly called for, in the depths of the classification almost 4s behind the unexpected leader...

Héctor Garzò et Baldassarri pleased Sito Pons by completing the leading trio. Joe Roberts et Jake dixon inherited the fourth and fifth fastest times. Behind, we then found: Jorge Martín, Together with Marco Bezzecchi. Tom Lüthi, Nicolò Bulega et Hafiz Syahrin, generally skilful in these conditions, completed the Top 10 at the end of this session.

What will this FP2 give us? Before answering this question, here is the table which reminds us of the facts.

On an almost dry track and in still autumnal conditions, the drivers in the category set off for 40 minutes of exercise. Kashma Daniel fell on his first lap, at turn 11. It will be recalled that he also fell this morning, before setting the best time... Luca Marini fell violently at turn 5. He left dirt on the trajectory. It's a terrible highside for the brother of Valentino Rossi. The red flag is raised. The pilot is on his feet. But he needs the commissioners to work...

Taken back to the mobile clinic, he is greeted at the door by Valentino Rossi. The entire VR46 clan is hanging on the doctors' diagnosis.

The session is restarted. We see again the images of a Jorge Martin hit from behind by Manzi…The first reference goes back to Schrotter in 1'40.819. Syahrin avoids a highside by remaining stubbornly clinging to his motorbike… Dixon takes control in 1'39.786.

The German regains his position in 1'39.360. And the Englishman responds in 1'39.11. He is followed by his compatriot Sam Lowes et Virgin which therefore repels Schrotter in fourth place. Jorge Martin brings everyone together in 1'39.030, but we only arrive halfway through the session...
Moreover, Sam Lowes puts the reference at 1'38.951. A trifle for Xavi Verge which lowers the time by 176 thousandths. A quarter of a hoot from the goal, Lowes is still in the lead with a time of 38.562. He is ahead Virgin et Martin. The majority return to the box to put on new tires before launching the final attack against the clock.

We learn that Luca marini will move from the medical center to the hospital. It will be recalled that he has a 20-point lead in the championship over bastianini and that three successive Grands Prix are on the program for future weekends…

The last five minutes are attacked. Jorge Martin takes the lead in 1'38.043. We are in the last minute. Dixon slams a 1'37.713. Courses fall at turn 6. Schrotter also but at turn 8. The Englishman is stolen the show in the last seconds by Jorge Martin which closes the debates with a 1'37.400. But Luca marini will it be valid for the rest of the events?
