Moto2 Le Mans

Who can stop Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo)? Apparently, Sam Lowes (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team), winner in Jerez, but it will be difficult for the Briton to repeat his feat. Indeed, the veteran made a real demonstration by winning largely against a grid that was tougher than ever. Despite everything, the prodigy Acosta remains solid leader of the championship with two victories, in Portugal and the United States. Behind him, the young wolves are hungry. Tony Arbolino (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team), Arón Canet (Pons WeGow Los40) and Alonso López (Boscoscuro Speed Up Racing) are all very promising and incidentally, very fast.

The surprise could well come from Jake dixon (GasGas Aspar Team), strong in rainy conditions and at Le Mans, where he almost scored a good result in the wet before crashing. This morning it is Filip Salač (QJMotor Gresini Moto2) who got the better of his opponents, while Sam Lowes fell twice.

Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.

The weather is still as good as ever near Le Mans. Moto2 competitors should benefit from optimal conditions.

While Tony Arbolino begins to string together rapid revolutions, a mechanical problem appears on the machine Sergio García (Pons Wegow Los40) right in the pit straight. Jake Dixon (GasGas Aspar Team) is also in the mix: He is the first to go under 1'37. This does not prevent him from falling at the Museum, fortunately without consequences.

Peter Acosta doesn't take long to get going, obviously he remains the favorite. Everyone is improving, and the outcome is more uncertain than ever in a very compact Moto2 session. Several drivers follow one another in the lead, whileArón Canet performs an incredible catch-up at the exit of the connection. What an acrobat!

Barely a few seconds later, there he was definitively on the floor of the Museum. The emotional elevator didn't stop on the right floor. Barely before the checkered flag is presented, it falls again! Terrible. Pedro Acosta is ahead with 10 minutes to go. Alonso Lopez (Boscoscuro Speed Up Racing) joins the other favorites on the floor! Massacre among the fastest.

Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) achieves a good time which propels him to the level of the best. Pretty ! Acosta, still in the lead, gets trapped somewhat at the Garage Vert but crosses the gravel trap without falling.

Sam Lowes, discreet until now, gets going but Peter Acosta resist as best he can. Be careful not to underestimate Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing), the pole sitter from Austin, also very fast at the end of the session. Joe Roberts (Italtrans Racing Team) touches the ground in turn.

But Sam Lowes regains the lead 40 seconds from the checkerboard! Incredible resilience from the Briton. Acosta is second, and Alonso lopez completes the top 3 of this P2 Moto2 at Le Mans. Or the exact podium of the Jerez race.
