Two of the Moto2 riders from the VR46 Riders Academy, Lorenzo Baldassari and Luca Marini, have just carried out wind tunnel tests and renewed their contract with the Forward Racing team.

There is obviously no cause and effect relationship, but this underlines the seriousness of the work of the Swiss-Italian team which is also reflected in the results obtained.

Lorenzo Baldassari, for his second year in Giovanni Cuzari's team, recorded his best start to the world season with a second place at the Italian Grand Prix behind Johann Zarco, after a fight which revealed him to the general public. The positive trend was then confirmed with two fifth places at the Dutch and German Grand Prix.

Luca marini, who many have long considered "only" as Valentino Rossi's little brother, has just crossed the line of the German Grand Prix in sixth position, for his first year in Moto2.

Consequently, Valentino Rossi, through its VR46 Riders Academy, has renewed its confidence in the team Forward Racing for another year.

The third Moto2 rider from the VR46 Riders Academy is Franco Morbidelli and already has a two-year contract with the Marc VDS team. With the scheduled arrival of Roman Fenati and the future SKY VR46 team in Moto2, this will therefore make 4 drivers with fluorescent yellow badges in the intermediate category…
