While we were wondering what the future of Lorenzo Dalla Porta after its separation with the SAG team, a first response is provided in the short term with the announcement of its participation under the colors of Forward Racing in the next three consecutive Grands Prix: Mugello, Sachsenring and Assen.

The 3 Moto2019 world champion will therefore replace Alex Escrig for the Mugello Grand Prix as well as for the German and Dutch GPs, due to the long convalescence of the young Spaniard who injured his right shoulder during the Jerez tests last March.

The Forward Team, in agreement with the rider and his management and after requesting additional medical examinations, decided to continue Álex's recovery therapies so that the young Spaniard can return to the bike at 100% for the Silverstone GP .

The Spanish driver will be replaced by then by Lorenzo dalla Porta, who is coming out of a consensual breakup with his former team. Lorenzo Dalla Porta will be alongside Marcos Ramirez for the next three GPs and the two men were already teammates in 2019, when the Italian won the Moto3 world champion title.

The Italian team is happy to welcome Lorenzo Dalla Porta, and the two wish each other the best for this brief journey together.

Giovanni Cuzari : « I am sorry and very close to Álex for the situation he is experiencing and that we are experiencing. We believe a lot in him and that is why we agree to wait for his complete recovery. I am obviously delighted that Lorenzo is wearing our colors for this new challenge and I really believe in his speed.I”

Lorenzo Dalla Porta : " I am very happy for this opportunity and thank Team Forward for welcoming me to the team for the next three races. I am very curious to try this new bike and I will definitely give it my best. I'm very excited about starting at Mugello! »
