Here are the scenarios that will lead the Marc VDS driver to the title this weekend.

After Marc Márquez in Thailand in the premier category and Lorenzo Dalla Porta last week at Phillip Island in Moto3, only the Moto2 World Champion is not yet known. Alex Marquez had indeed a first card to play to win the title in Australia, but the chances were still minimal given the number of situations that had to happen to each of his opponents.

A week later and with only two Grands Prix remaining, things are now different and the scenarios much less difficult to materialize. Starting with his number of opponents, which has been reduced since Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini are no longer in the title race, the latter having been hit in the first lap of the race in Australia.

From now on, only Jorge Navarro, but above all Brad Binder and Tom Lüthi can prevent the Marc VDS driver from being titled. However, Márquez will take the crown this weekend at Sepang:

– If he wins, it doesn't matter what the others do.
– If he is second and Lüthi does not win.
– If he finishes third or fourth and Lüthi is neither first nor second, and Binder does not win.
– If he is fifth or sixth, Lüthi fourth or more and Binder third or more.
– If he finishes seventh or eighth, Lüthi fifth or more and Binder third or more.
– If he finishes ninth, Lüthi sixth or more and Binder fourth or more.
– If he finishes tenth, Lüthi seventh or more, Binder fourth or more and Navarro does not win.
– If he finishes 11th, Lüthi eighth or more, Binder fourth or more and Navarro does not win.
– If he finishes 12th, Lüthi ninth or higher, Binder fifth or higher and Navarro does not win.
– If he finishes 13th, Lüthi tenth or more, Binder fifth or more and Navarro does not win.
– If he finishes 14th, Lüthi 11th or more, Binder sixth or more and Navarro does not win.
– If he finishes 15th, Lüthi 12th or more, Binder seventh or more and Navarro third or more.
– If he does not score points, Lüthi is 13th or more, Binder eighth or more and Navarro third or more.
