Born in 1985 and now aged 35, Mattia Pasini made his debut in the world championship in 2004 with an Aprilia in the 125 category. In fifteen years of his career, the Rimini rider raced 239 Grands Prix in 125, 250, Moto2 and MotoGP, winning 12 victories (in 125, 250 and Moto2) and obtaining 30 podiums in total (none in MotoGP) while offering us some very beautiful and memorable battles.

His best results came in 2005-2006, on Aprilia, with two fourth places in the final standings of the 125 World Championship, and his last victory dates back to 2018, in Argentina, where the Italian rider rode in Moto2 on a Kalex in Italtrans colors .

Despite the sand, Mattia Pasini is replaced by Enea Bastianini in 2019 and will have to fill in the gap before finding a slightly more sustainable place at Petronas. With only 12 Grands Prix contested out of 19, the one who brakes with his left hand following an accident which disabled his right arm only finishes in 20th place in the championship and, once again, is not offered any place in 2020.

The infernal cycle continues and 2021 will do without the Italian, at least on two wheels since the car perhaps seems to offer a continuation of the career of the famous number 54. After two appearances at the Monza Rally Show, the famous rally which takes takes place on the track of the Brianza circuit, the driver from Romagna took part in tests with the Ligier JS P320, an Endurance prototype from the BHK Motorsport team on the Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Cervesina (in the province of Pavia).

Mattia Pasini was thus able to familiarize himself with the good 400 horsepower of the LMP3 in the 11 turns of the transalpine track and found the experience “great”, but always gives priority to the bike, provided of course that he does not have to pay.

For the moment, nothing on the horizon, neither by motorbike nor by car where this was a unique day, but the one we nickname "Paso" in honor of Renzo Pasolini still feels in great physical shape and remains hopeful of running, on a motorbike in the short term, and perhaps in a car with his great friend Valentino Rossi medium term…
