Moto2 Misano P1

What a race. In Catalonia, the actors of the intermediate category offered us a festival; undoubtedly one of the most beautiful recent events. In Misano, the young aspirants are back at it again with the P1 Moto2. Jake Dixon (Gaviota GasGas Aspar Team) is the latest winner, he who resisted Arón Canet (Pons Wegow Los40) until the last moments to amass a magnificent success. The Spaniard, second for the 12th time in Moto2 (!), has still not won! Clearly, he is one of the men to watch this weekend. In third place, we found a Red Bull KTM Ajo rider, but not Pedro Acosta! Indeed, it was Albert Arenas, his teammate, who took his first podium in the category here.

The young prodigy was relegated to sixth place but retains the lead in the general classification. Especially since its closest rival, Tony Arbolino (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team) did not score a single point, and is now 22 points behind. Clearly, the Italian must do something on his land to stop the bleeding. We advise you, of course, to keep an eye on the Speed Up Racing pair; Alonso lopez et Fermin Aldeguer, both very fast, but also on the local Celestine Vietti (Fantic Racing). Winner in Austria, the latest protégé of the VR46 Academy will be keen to please his team on the track dedicated to him.

Come relive this P1 with us! Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the facts known so far:

The weather is good in Emilia-Romagna. Immediately, Peter Acosta gets on his feet and takes the first position. Jake dixon, winner in Catalonia, is already falling. What a start to the session! Will Bendsneyder (Perta Mandalika SAG Team) even climbs into the top 3. Manuel González (Yamaha VR46 Master Camp) falls in turn in the last sector.

Barry Baltus (Fieten Olie GP Racing) also achieves a very good time without delay. Then, it's the turn ofAi Ogura (Honda Team Asia). Great diversity of leaders in this Moto2 category at Misano. Note the wild card of Mattia Pasini, 38 years old, and who tackles the famous n°34 by Kevin Schwantz.

Filip Salač (QJMotor Gresini Moto2) also falls at turn 14, a turn that will need to be monitored with the greatest attention this weekend. Ai Ogura, still very fast here, is not worried for the moment but there is no doubt that his competitors still have something under their belt.

Then it's his teammate Somkiat Chantra, discreet for some time, which appears at the top of the timesheet. But that's without counting on Pedro Acosta, the young prodigy. Everything is possible six minutes from the end. Joe Roberts (Italtrans Racing) also achieves interesting times. Can the American be the surprise of the weekend? At the same time, Albert Arenas, 3 Moto2020 world champion, experiences a crash in turn 14.

Acosta keeps improving, but someone stop that rider! Its closest competitor, Ai Ogura, in turn tastes Italian tar at the very end of the session, which concludes the debate. Celestine Vietti is third.
