The French Grand Prix at Le Mans ended with the second victory of the season for Sergio Garcia (MT Helmets – MSI/Boscoscuro) Moto2™, while the poleman and dominator of the weekend David Alonso (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team/CFMOTO) swept Moto3™.

Throughout the weekend, Pirelli's soft tires allowed drivers to set new records in both categories: lap record, fastest race lap and best race pace ever.

“For Pirelli, this weekend was extremely positive. From the free practice sessions, the drivers of both championships showed themselves to be extremely fast, so much so that they fell well below the lap records on the track on Friday, and then set new lap records in the race . The races were extremely fast and hard-fought, with improvements of around three tenths per lap compared to last year, which were in fact the fastest ever recorded at Le Mans for these categories. The softer rear compounds, the SC0 in Moto2 and the SC1 in Moto3, were the protagonists throughout the weekend, demonstrating very consistent performance both in high temperatures, such as Friday and Saturday, and in the cooler temperatures of Sunday. The feedback from the young drivers in the Rookies Cup was also very positive, as evidenced by the broken track records and race times. Everyone involved is giving their best effort and we can see progress race after race. Congratulations to all the winners of this fantastic GP weekend. »

Moto2 ™

– The softer tires, namely the SC1 at the front and the SC0 at the rear, were by far the most used during the weekend, as well as during the Sunday race, where only Joe Roberts ( OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) and Barry Baltus (RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP/Kalex) preferred the SC2 (medium) at the front and Daniel Muñoz (Pertamina Mandalika GAS UP Team/Kalex) the SC1 (medium) at the back.

– Starting from third place on the grid, Sergio Garcia (MT Helmets – MSI/Boscoscuro) won the race with a total time of 35'20.709, making it the fastest race in the history of the category at Le Mans, with an improvement of more than three tenths compared to 2023. Aron Canet (Fantic Racing/Kalex) set the new lap record in the race with a time of 1'35.796, almost three tenths more than the record by Pedro Acosta in 2023.

Moto3 ™

– David Alonso (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team/CFMOTO) won the race after dominating every session throughout the weekend. All drivers on the front row started with the SC2 (medium) combination at the front and SC1 (soft) at the rear. Overall, this choice was the most popular. Only four riders opted for the SC1 (soft) at the front and nine for the SC2 (medium) at the rear.

– The races took place in virtually identical conditions to those in 2023. With the same number of laps, this year's race was seven seconds faster than last season's, with an average improvement per lap of more by three tenths. Also in this case the race took place with the fastest pace in the history of the category at Le Mans.

Red Bull Rookies Cup

– Both races this year were faster than 2023. In Race 1, the average lap was almost 1 second faster, while in Race 2 it was over 1,2 seconds.

– In Saturday's race, pole sitter Máximo Quiles won, while today Brian Uriarte took the victory, ahead of Máximo Quiles and Hakim Danish.

– Argentinian Marco Morelli set the new race lap record with a time of 1'44.019 on the 14th and penultimate lap, demonstrating the consistent performance of the SC2 tires available to drivers in this championship.
