What better than its stronghold of Tavullia to make its official presentation for 2020? The Sky VR46 team has unveiled its new livery for the coming season, alongside the four riders who will wear its colors in Moto2 and Moto3.

With a 100% Transalpine quartet, the Sky Racing Team VR46 is, as usual, the only team in the paddock to only run Italians in its two categories. In Moto2, she decided to continue to place her trust in Luca marini, who is in his third year with the team, and he is accompanied by Marco Bezzecchi, new to the structure but a student of the VR46 Riders Academy for several years.

In Moto3, the 2019 Rookie of the Year, Celestine Vietti, is joined by the experienced Andrea Migno, who returns to the team after two years of absence. The latter is preparing to participate in his sixth full season in the World Championship, and both will be keen to ride at the forefront, just like Marini who intends to be one of the protagonists of Moto2. Only Bezzecchi, debuting last year and victim of a complicated season, will take his time to get to the front, obviously aiming to do so by the end of the season.

Everyone will have a motorcycle whose livery has slightly changed. Although the overall style remains the same, changes have been made to the logo and its prominence on the machines. In terms of the core of the team, very few changes will take place in 2020, since Pablo Nieto remains at its head, while Luca Brivio is confirmed as team coordinator, and Roberto Locatelli as coach of the VR46 Riders Academy, and therefore of the four riders, among others. As for the chief mechanics, Jairo Carriles will work with Marini, and Sergio Martinez with Bezzecchi. In Moto3, Vietti will be accompanied by Marco Urani and Migno by Danilo Angeli.

“As team manager of this family which grows more and more every year, I am proud to have helped create a team of drivers that impresses, who is fast and who works with consistency and professionalism, while having fun and having an atmosphere that is both family and productive”, Nieto said during the presentation. As a reminder, the team has a world title with Francesco Bagnaia in 2019, 18 victories, 47 podiums and has put seven of its drivers on the podium.

“These are values that we share and for which we have always fought. We will start from this to face the new season and show what we are worth, all with passion, determination, sharing and team spirit. »
