Sam Lowes declares after 131 turns:
« Catalunya is a great circuit for testing because there is a good mix of fast and slow corners, and the grip is always quite low. It's important for me to progress in conditions where the track is a bit greasy and slippery and in the warmer conditions of the second afternoon: we worked a lot and I felt pretty good in terms of pace. We worked a lot on the rear of the bike to try to find a better feeling and I had the chance to try some new parts that I hadn't been able to try in pre-season when I had a problem with it. my left arm. As always, there were some positives, and some things didn't provide the benefits we were hoping for, but that's why it was important to test. Now we can try things on a race weekend that we know should work. »

For its part, Tony Arbolino is also intended to be positive after 122 laps:
« It was important to do a lot of laps during this test and in particular to work with the Dunlop tires which we will use here for the race in a few weeks. My goal was only to improve my feeling on the bike and not worry about the lap time. It wasn't easy because the conditions changed a lot, but I think we also found things that could help us in the next race at Le Mans, so that's a positive. Now we will rest and look forward to continuing our good start to the season in France. »

There is also optimism among the competition…

Celestine Vietti : " We have tested new solutions and we understand what we need to take a step forward from the last races. We worked on certain aspects of the bike. Let's bring home everything positive and make the most of it for the next races and for the #CatalanGP in June. »

Luca Brivio: « A positive test for Celestino. Lots of useful ideas for the Catalan Grand Prix in June. The position is not bad, we are satisfied with the work accomplished, only five tenths of the fastest drivers. NIccolò Antonelli did not take part in the test, but we hope he will be on track next weekend. »
