Bezzecchi

Alongside the official MotoE test in Jerez A private test for Moto2 and Moto3 took place today on the Portimão circuit rented by the Petronas team. As with their electric cousins, the sessions will continue tomorrow, but several drivers have already stood out.

In category Moto2, we thus witnessed a great fight by timers interposed between Marco Bezzecchi (Sky VR46) and Remy gardner with its new Red Bull KTM Ajo team colors. This morning, it was the Australian who won in 1'45.268, a time still more than three seconds from his absolute record on the Portuguese circuit established in 1'42.504 last November.

This afternoon, the times were noticeably lower but we find the same duo at the top of the provisional classification, although in reverse order. At the end of the first day, it is therefore Marco Bezzecchi who leads the dance in 1'43.322 in front Remy gardner, Joe Roberts (Italtrans Racing Team) and Marcos Ramirez (American Racing Team).

For the record, Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Italtrans Racing team) was the most diligent, with 83 laps, while the new arrival Cameron Beaubier (American Racing Team) must for the moment be content with provisional 18th place. The best rookie is named Raul Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo) with a good seventh position for the winner of the last Grand Prix in the Moto3 category on the same track.

So this brings us to the category Moto3 whose best representative was this morning Andrea Migno (Snipers Team) in 1'50.519, ahead Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Gabriel Rodrigo (Team Gresini Moto3). To compare, Jaume Masia established the absolute circuit record in 1'47.398.

This afternoon, the Snipers Team representative retained the advantage thanks to an improvement in his time of 1'48.565 ahead of the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider, Deniz Öncü.
