Before embarking for the Czech Republic Grand Prix and face the Brno track, the Forward team cheered itself up by announcing a bright future in Moto2. For the moment, their current campaign gives little reason for satisfaction with Eric Granado without a point and a Stefano manzi who only managed to score at Le Mans, with a top 10. But tomorrow, it is with MV Agusta that the story will continue…

That being said, the drivers may not be the same while Suter will still be around to lend a hand on the chassis. The latter will be a steel trellis frame with aluminum plates, the same material making up the swinging arm while the suspensions will be Öhlins. And then, of course, there will be the new 765cc three-cylinder engine from Triumph which will be the new standard engine in the category. This in place of the four-cylinder Honda or CBR since 2010. There will also be Magneti-Marelli electronics. So many new developments which announced the ideal time to embark on a new project. The latter will be led by Brian Gillen.

The president of MV Agusta, Giovanni castiglioni is very happy with the way things have turned out: “I am sincerely proud to see the dream of returning to Grands Prix come true. I offer all my gratitude to Giovanni Cuzari who believed in us and pushed us to give the best. Of course, we still have a lot of work to do, but step by step we will improve our competitiveness ».

The Forward team boss added: “ it was my dream since the era of Claudio Castiglioni. Many times I insisted on experiencing the return of MV Agusta to the Grand Prix and when Giovanni took over from his father, I encouraged him to believe in this ambitious project. Finally, it succeeds, and it will put an end to 42 years of absence. We still have much to do and achieve and I have every confidence in the potential of the Castiglioni Research Center which is the true heart of MV Agusta. With my fantastic team, I am sure that this is what it takes to claim to be among the best. Now all our attention will be on the work on the track ».
