The eighth chapter of the Moto2 world championship showed up at the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen with an opposing duel Tony Arbolino (Kalex, ELF Marc VDS Racing Team, #14) to Peter Acosta (Kalex, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #37) for the world title, the Italian currently having a 15-point lead over the Spaniard.

Behind, Alonso lopez (Boscoscuro, CAG SpeedUp, #21) already concedes 57 units, Jake dixon (Kalex, India GASGAS Aspar Team, #96) 60, Filip Salač (Kalex, QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2, #12) 67 and Aron Canet (Kalex, Pons Wegow Los40, #40) 74.

If the tests allowed Ai Ogura (Kalex, Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, #79), very discreet until now in 18th place in the championship, to claim the new absolute record of the circuit, the qualifications have placed Alonso López in pole position in front Jake Dixon and Ai Ogura, but above all relegated a Tony Arbolino generally faster in the race than in practice in 10th position, while Peter Acosta will start 6th alongside Fermín Aldeguer (Boscoscuro, CAG SpeedUp, #54) and Sam Lowes (Kalex, ELF Marc VDS Racing Team, #22), the third row being composed of Somkiat Chantra (Kalex, Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, #35), Albert Arenas (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #75) and Celestine Vietti (Kalex, Fantic Racing, #13).

With the two leaders of the general classification a little distant on the grid, the ingredients seem to be there for spectators to witness a beautiful 22-lap race which will take place with temperatures of 30° in the air and 43° under an immaculate sky.

Tony Arbolino seems to have difficulty keeping up, in 7th position.

From the fourth lap, the positions stabilize, as do roughly the gaps even if the leader of the race is gradually moved up by hundredths of a second...

Fermin Aldeguer, who cut the chicane, suffered a Long Lap while he was in sixth position.

A third of the way through, Jake dixon seizes second position to try to get back on Alonso López.

The connection is made immediately while Somkiat Chantra makes a mistake at turn #1.

Jake dixon seizes the lead 10 laps from the checkered flag and pushes hard to escape.

In the next passage, Ai Ogura goes 2nd, Peter Acosta 3e.
Alonso López can't follow anymore...

Eight laps from the finish, Jake dixon makes a mistake and is overtaken by Ai Ogura and Pedro Acosta.

In the next passage, it is Peter Acosta who almost loses the front at the chicane and is passed by Jake dixon.

So, Ai Ogura took the opportunity to escape and now has more than a second ahead of the Briton!

Peter Acosta having cut at the chicane to recover his motorbike, he inherits a Long Lap.
Unfortunately for him, he rolled onto the green while taking this penalty. The camera seems to show it but after a while the Long Lap is declared compliant by the FIM MotoGP Stewards…

In front of, Jake dixon managed to get back into the wheel ofAi Ogura. The virile attack took place two laps from the finish, crowned with success for the Briton from the Aspar team.

First victory for Jake dixon, nice return to the fore for Ai Ogura and Pedro Acosta who saves the essential on the 3rd step of the podium!

In the championship, Tony Arbolino remains eight points ahead of Peter Acosta, itself 36 units ahead Jake dixon.
