Nicolò Bulega will need surgery: the driver suffers from compartment syndrome, the “biker problem”, which did not allow him to finish the race in Argentina.

Nicolò Bulega's weekend in Argentina was going well. The Sky Racing Team VR46 rookie proved competitive, and was therefore looking for a good race. Unfortunately, this was not to be the case as the Italian was forced to stop prematurely due to a physical problem. It seems that he too is a victim of the “motorcyclist problem”, the famous compartment syndrome, on his right arm.

“It’s a shame we couldn’t finish the race”, said Nicholas Bulega, 11th before retiring. “I was competitive all weekend and I could have had a great Grand Prix. I'm really sorry, but the pain in my arm had become unbearable. I'll check the situation and see what we can do.". The only solution, as has been the case before for all his colleagues who had the same problem, is to operate.

Davide Bulega, the father of the Moto2 rider, confirms this and explains the problem with a post on Facebook: “Nicolò recently suffered from compartment syndrome in his right arm.
