Everything will be new in the Aspar team in 2020. The beginner Aron Canet arrives in Moto2 coming from Moto3 and will share the box with the one who finds this same Moto2 when leaving MotoGP. This is'Hafizh Syahrin who should thus assert himself as the leader of an adventure which will be experienced with Speed Up. The team's sports director Gino Borsoi takes stock after the first test gallops experienced before the winter break was declared.
« The 2020 season has already started ", he declared after a two-day private test in Valencia, during which the newcomers, Hafiz Syahrin et Aron Canet, tested their machine for the first time. “ We were lucky because the tests in Jerez were a disaster », recalls the Italian. A blow in the face indeed, literally and figuratively since heaven had not been lenient with the gifts.
« We had a very good test in Valencia, because the weather was perfect and also because our riders immediately found the bike friendly and easy to ride. From a technical point of view, we had no problems. Everything was fine and we are happy with the situation », summarized Borsoi.
« The start was difficult for both drivers Admitted Borsoi. " The first day was the most difficult because both had to change their riding style. For this, they still need time to adapt to Moto2. Syahrin still has the style of MotoGP and Canet that of Moto3. This is the biggest problem. But I'm happy because they took a good step forward between the first and second day and they improved a lot. Of course, they still have to improve, but they are starting to understand the category and the bike better. There were no big issues or complaints about the settings. You just have to focus on the riding style. We haven't changed anything on the bike yet. You have to take a step first. »
