Aron Canet will change creamery in 2022 in a Moto2 ambition that he already seems to be considering until 2023. Thus, the current Aspar pilot on a motorcycle created by Luca Boscoscuro abandons the exoticism of the chassis for the conformism of a Kalex within the Sito Pons team. This is the first movement in the transfer market within the intermediate category and it concerns one of the drivers who is expected to fight for the title in both 2022 and 2023.
Aron canet will change bikes and teams for his third season in the intermediate category. THE Pons Racing announces the hiring of the Spaniard for the next two seasons in the World Championship Moto2. A strong signal for the current drivers of the team who are Héctor Garzó et Stefano manzi : at least one of the two must give up their place at the end of this campaign.
At 21 years, Canet is the Moto3 world vice-champion of the 2019 season, a category in which he achieved six victories and 17 podiums in four seasons. He jumped to Moto2 in 2020, where he managed to establish himself as the rookie of the year, against Garzo. This season, he already has two podiums after being second at Portimao and at the Sachsenring.
