It had been in the works for a while now, and it became official on the second day of the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez. KTM, in recent days, occupies the media scene and after confirming Pol Espargaró and hiring Johann zarco in MotoGP, its new partner at the elite Tech3 will also take care of its motorcycles in Moto2. Casually, it's quite a battle plan that the Austrian brand is putting in place for its Grand Prix ambitions.

It's done ! The Mistral610, which has been in Moto2 since the start of the category in 2010, is experiencing its final campaign. She will never have to know the future three-cylinder Triumph which will be the next standard engine in the intermediate Grand Prix category.

On this new adventure, the boss Hervé Poncharal comments: “ Moto2 is a category that is particularly close to my heart and in which we have been involved since its very beginnings. Until then, we made our own motorcycle. But we signed a three-year partnership with KTM in MotoGP, and it was therefore logical that we extend this collaboration to Moto2. We are happy and proud to see Tech3 fully involved in the KTM factory competition program. ».
