It's definitely been a hell of a summer for Intact Dynavolt team boss Jürgen Lingg. The one who espoused the cause of German drivers in Grand Prix by hiring Cortese and Schrötter again this year is poorly rewarded. Rolling with Suter, the boss first announced, a few days ago, that he would part ways with his resident Sandra Cortese at the end of this year. Then he had the unpleasant surprise of learning incidentally that his second driver Marcel Schrötter had injured his left scaphoid while doing enduro with Jack Miller... Just before he took off for the 08h00 of Suzuka!

Being a stable manager is not an easy job. Especially since in addition to running the shop and obtaining results, you have to manage pilots who look like real brats. The latter engage in escapades and even secrecy. Jürgen Lingg recently learned this.

It was in fact by receiving a phone call from speedweek regarding the state of health of Marcel Schrötter that he learned that he had been injured: “ I then called his manager Michael Kories and he told me he had crashed during an enduro training session with Jack Miller. I was assured that the injury was not that serious. You can't ban your riders from riding motorcycles »...

Certainly, but the boss made it all the worse because he gave him permission to do the 08:00 at Suzuka. And Marcel Schrötter intends to maintain his rank there, at the risk of aggravating his injury. However, four days after the Japanese endurance event, hostilities resumed in Brno for the Grands Prix: “ I guess he'll try it at Suzuka and if it doesn't work, he'll come home as quickly as possible. We will have to know soon enough if he will be able to drive in Brno ».

It's the least we can do, and yet... Regarding the accident, Schrötter comments: “ It's a stupid fall, I was training with Jack Miller in Australia and I injured my left scaphoid. The pain has reduced but I am uncomfortable with certain movements which hurt me quite a bit. However, I want to see what I can do at Suzuka ».

The return home promises to be tense...
